Event details

The Torbay Triathlon Relay is organised by Sportiva Events and takes place on 4 April 2026 at Torbay Velopark, Paignton (TQ4 5JR). The event includes two separate relay formats held on the same day. Entry is open to entrants aged 13 and over on 31/12/2026. Prices listed are £51.00 for a Standard Relay Triathlon team and £29.00 for a Mixed Relay Triathlon team member. The venue car park requires payment by cash or mobile.

Race formats and distances

Standard Team Relay: teams of 2 or 3 members. Distances:

400m swim (16 lengths)
19.5K bike (13 laps)
5K run (2 laps)

Mixed Team Relay: teams of 4 members with a minimum of 2 female competitors. All-male or 75 percent male teams are permitted and results will be published, but those teams are not eligible for prizes. Distances:

300m swim (12 lengths)
7.5K bike (5 laps)
1.8K run (1 lap)

Start procedure and swim lanes

Both relay events start in waves of up to 12 swimmers. Two swimmers share each lane, each remaining on their own side of the lane so overtaking in the lane is not required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
