A Great Museum Trail
The event takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026. It is presented by Mid Essex Casuals and is held under UK Athletics rules with a Trail Running Association permit.
The run offers two distances: 6.3 miles and 3.4 miles. It is a self-navigation trail run, which means there are no marshals, no GPX file provided, and no route markings on the course. The route is mainly off-road on footpaths, tracks, and field edges, with some short road sections. It is not suitable for spiked shoes. A narrative description of the route will be supplied to each entrant.
The start and finish location is The Museum of Power on Hatfield Road in Langford, Maldon. Registration is open on the day, with staggered starts from 10:15am. The minimum age for solo runners is 17 years. Runners and walkers are welcome. No dogs are allowed.
The entry fee is £6 for UK Athletics affiliated runners and £8 for unaffiliated runners. This fee includes a £3 voucher for food or drink at the Museum Cafe. First aid and a defibrillator will be available at the registration area. There are no drink stations on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
