A Great Museum trail

Mid Essex Casuals organise a self navigation trail on 14 March 2026 at The Museum of Power, Hatfield Road, Langford, Maldon CM9 6QA. Entrants choose between two distances and follow unmarked routes without GPX files or course markings.

The route is mainly off road on footpaths, tracks and field edges with some short road sections and is not suitable for spikes. A narrative route description will be supplied to each entrant. There are no marshalls and no drink stations on course. First aid and a defibrillator are available at registration. No dogs are allowed.

Runners and walkers are welcome. The minimum age for solo runners is 17 years. Entry fees are listed as £6 for affiliated entrants and £8 for unaffiliated entrants with no refunds. The entry includes a £3 food or drink voucher valid in the Museum Cafe. The event is held under UK Athletics rules with TRA Permit 8067.
