About the race
A Day in The Park (ADITP) is a timed running event held at Miller Ecological Park in Lebanon, Ohio. Organized by Empower Ultras, a women-owned and immigrant-owned company, the event features a course that is a 1 mile loop. This loop is USATF certified (OH24030JHP) and consists of a flat, crushed gravel surface with minimal elevation changes.
The event offers several duration and distance options:
- 24 hours
- 100 miles
- 6 hours
Participants in the 24 hour category have the flexibility to choose their recorded result based on their performance. Runners who complete 100 miles and choose to stop can be recorded as finishers of that distance, while those who continue for the full duration will be credited with their total mileage at the end of the 24 hours. A central aid station is located at the start and finish area, providing a rotating menu of food including breakfast, lunch, and dinner items such as pancakes, avocado wraps, and smoothies.
The park setting allows for participants to set up tents along the course route. Recognition for participants includes high-quality shirts for those who register by the specified deadline and personalized awards crafted by a local Ohio artist that display the total distance completed.
