Rachel & Friends 5k
Rachel & Friends is a non-profit organization that works with adults with developmental disabilities and with individuals in the community who have developmental challenges. The event aims to encourage the community to recognize people with Down Syndrome, Autism, or other developmental differences and to celebrate their abilities.
The event offers several distances and a free kids fun run. Race options include:
- 5k (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile (1 Miles)
- Fun Run (0.25 Miles, free)
Registration fees for the timed races are listed as $30.00. Online registration participants who register by October 10, 2026 are eligible to receive a shirt; those who register after that date may not receive a shirt at the event. In-person registration will also be available on the day of the event.
Packet pick up is scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 1700 Lyons Road, Suite A2, A New You Total Wellness in Washington Township, Ohio. All children who finish the fun run receive a ribbon.
Awards are given by age category at the end of the race, with overall male and female winners receiving a $100 gift card. Age groups for awards are 0-11, 12-18, 19-39, 40-59, and 60 and up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
