Rachel & Friends 5k
Rachel & Friends is a nonprofit that works with adults with developmental disabilities and with individuals in the wider community who have developmental challenges. The race seeks to highlight and celebrate people with Down Syndrome, Autism, and other challenges through a community running event in Washington Township, Ohio on October 24, 2026.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile
- Fun Run 0.25 miles
Registration opens April 1, 2026. The online registration deadline to receive a shirt for the 5k is October 10, 2026; registrations made after that date may not receive a shirt at the event. Registration fees are $30 for the 5k and $30 for the 1 mile. The kids fun run is free and all children who finish the fun run receive a ribbon. In-person registration will be available on the day of the event.
Packet pickup will occur on October 23, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1700 Lyons Road, Suite A2, A New You Total Wellness.
Awards are presented to the top male and female in each age group: 0-11, 12-18, 19-39, 40-59, and 60 and up. Top overall finishers receive gift card prizes: first place male and female $200 each, second place $100 each, third place $50 each. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
