Rachel & Friends 5k

Rachel & Friends is a non-profit organization that works with adults with developmental disabilities. It provides day programming and community services for individuals with developmental challenges. The event aims to help the community recognize and include adults with Down Syndrome, Autism, or other developmental challenges.

The event offers the following distances:

• 5k (3.1 miles)
• 1 mile
• Fun Run (0.25 miles)

Registration details: online registration opens on April 1, 2026; fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the 5k and $30 for the 1 mile, while the Fun Run is free. The online registration deadline to receive a shirt at the 5k is October 10, 2026. In-person registration will be available on the day of the event. Packet pick up is scheduled for October 23, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1700 Lyons Road, Suite A2 - A New You Total Wellness.

Awards: a $100 gift card will be awarded to the overall male and overall female finishers. Additional awards will be presented for top male and female in these age categories: 0-11, 12-18, 19-39, 40-59, and 60 and up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
