9/11 Heroes Run - San Antonio, Texas
The 9/11 Heroes Run takes place on September 12, 2026 at McAllister Park, 13102 Jones Maltsberger Rd, San Antonio, Texas. The event honors the heroes of 9/11 and people who have served since, and it aims to activate and unite communities while supporting local veterans, active duty service members, first responders, and families of the fallen.
The program includes multiple event types and distances:

- 5K ruck
- 1 mile run/walk
TMF partners with GORUCK to provide rucking divisions at this run. Rucking is described as a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. All participants registered in the GORUCK division will receive this year’s TMF GORUCK patch.
There are several registration options and fee levels. Examples from this event include a free Honor Bib RIDER entry, a Pusher 5K entry at $28, a general 5K entry at $36, a 5K ruck entry at $41, and a 1 mile entry at $21. Registration windows for many events open in June 2026; some registration periods close on July 1, 2026 while others remain open through the event date.
