Event Overview
The 9/11 Heroes Run is a community event held at Towne Lake Park in McKinney, Texas. The 5K distance offers specialized categories, including standard running and a rucking division. The rucking category is organized in partnership with GORUCK, a sport derived from special forces training where participants complete the course while carrying a weighted rucksack. Individuals registered for the rucking division receive an exclusive patch.
Participation Categories
Specific registration options are available for various groups, including active-duty military, first responders, and JROTC participants. There is also a dedicated category for Team Hoyt pushers. While most categories include event gear, specific options such as the JROTC and Team Hoyt pusher registrations do not include a race shirt or bib.
