9/11 Heroes Run - Cape Girardeau, MO
The 9/11 Heroes Run is a community event on 09/12/2026 at Lynwood Baptist Church, 2935 Lynwood Hills Dr., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701. The event honors the victims and responders of 9/11 and seeks to support local veterans, active duty service members, first responders, and families of the fallen.
The event program includes multiple participation options:
- 5K Run for runners, walkers, and families.
- 5K Ruck with weighted rucksack; GORUCK division and TMF patch.
Registration for the running and rucking divisions opens 05/28/2026 and closes 07/01/2026. Fees are listed for each division and include a separate volunteer registration period that opens 06/02/2026 and runs through the event day. Volunteer participation is offered without a registration fee.
The 5K Ruck follows a rucking format in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. The event organizer partners with GORUCK to offer rucking divisions, and participants registered in the GORUCK division receive that year’s TMF GORUCK patch.
