9/11 Commemorative 5K Event
The City of Graham presents the sixth annual 9/11 Commemorative 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the City Hall Campus in Graham, NC. The event is held rain or shine and collects donations for the Children of Fallen Heroes organization.

- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 mile noncompetitive Run/Walk
Event options include individual 5K and 1 mile registrations plus a First Responders Team Cup and a Community Team Cup. Teams must have a minimum of three runners to qualify; top teams are ranked by fastest average finish times. Medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place age group winners and to overall men and women 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Age group categories include 10U, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus.
The event program lists a Runner Services station in the fire bays, a Touch A Truck area, a blood drive at the Graham Fire Department, family game activities, and music with a DJ. Participant t-shirts for 2026 will feature a new design; guaranteed shirts require registration by a stated date with a minimum donation, and shirts not picked up may be available for purchase on event day.
