Events
The event offers three separate events:
- 9-5K Run: A 5K run.
- Butterfly Mile Walk/Run: A 1-mile walk or run.
- Virtual 5K: A remote option where participants receive their medal and shirt by mail.
Location & Course
The event takes place in Sevierville, Tennessee. It starts and finishes at the intersection of Court and Bruce Streets in front of the Sevier County Courthouse. The 5K route is described as a flat, scenic road race that goes through downtown streets and greenways. The Sevierville Police Department handles road closures for safety.
Logistics & Amenities
A participant cap of 400 is set for all combined events. Registration for the in-person 5K and 1-mile events closes on race day. T-shirt orders close on March 2. Packet pickup is offered on the Thursday and Friday before the event (locations to be determined) and limited pickup on race morning. Early pickup includes a special gift. Several parking lots are available, including a large gravel lot across from the Sevierville Fire Station. Portable restrooms are near the start/finish area, and there is a water stop at the 1.5-mile mark.
Awards & Giveaways
All 5K runners and 1-mile participants receive a custom event T-shirt with registration. Awards are given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers in the 5K, as well as age group awards in 10-year increments. A special award is given for the most spirited attire. Children under 10 who finish the 1-mile event receive a fun book gift from Imagination Library.
Participation Details
The event is hosted by the Sevierville Commons Association, with all proceeds supporting downtown projects. Strollers and leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome. Participants are asked to start towards the back if with a stroller or dog. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
