Course and logistics
The 5K is described as a 100% road race on a flat, scenic route through downtown streets and greenways. The start and finish are located in front of the Sevier County Courthouse. Sevier County Police Department will manage road closures. Amenities include portable restrooms near the start/finish, a water stop at mile 1.5, and multiple parking lots near downtown (a large gravel lot across from the Sevierville Fire Station downtown; a paved lot on the Parkway across from Cash's Hardware and near the Sevier County Heritage Museum; a gravel lot on Court Avenue across from Pinchey’s Lobster and Beer). Strollers are allowed and well-behaved, leashed dogs may participate.
Awards and giveaways
Every 5K runner receives a T-shirt and a goodie bag; T-shirt orders close February 28. Kids in the 1-mile receive a special finisher gift and may have kids’ T-shirts if ordered in advance. Awards include top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K and age group awards in 10-year brackets: under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
