7 Bridges 7 Brews
7 Bridges 7 Brews is a running and walking event in Sault Sainte Marie that crosses the seven bridges connecting the downtown island area. It offers in person and virtual participation options and includes a post race island themed party at Bird's Eye Outfitters.
Distances offered include:
- 5K run or walk
- 10K run
- Virtual 5K
- Virtual 10K
The in person course begins on the LSSU campus and finishes downtown at Bird's Eye Outfitters about one mile away. Parking is available downtown and near the LSSU start area. Organizers will communicate any course updates due to construction prior to race day.
Packet pickup and race day registration are available at Bird's Eye Outfitters. Races are chip timed with a gun start and results will be posted on yooperrunning.com. Awards include overall first place gender winners and first place masters for age 40 and older, plus first place awards in age groups for ages 1 to 19, ages 20 to 29, ages 30 to 39, ages 40 to 49, ages 50 to 59, ages 60 to 69, and ages 70 and up.
All participants receive a unique medal, a custom tumbler from Bricco Designs, a drink token, and an invitation to the post race party. Athletic Brewing and Les Cheneaux Distillery are listed as brew sponsors. Proceeds benefit OUT House Consortium to develop, maintain, and promote non motorized trail systems in the Sault Sainte Marie area.
