5k USA: Celebrating VA250

The 5K USA: Celebrating VA250 is a distance running event held at the Trump Winery Barn and Pavilion in Charlottesville, Virginia. The race takes place within a 1,300-acre estate, featuring a course that winds through 210 acres of vines. This event serves as a fundraiser for the Albemarle County Police Foundation, with net proceeds designated for community outreach programs.

The event is limited to a total of 200 participants. Registration remains open until the participant cap is reached or until the online deadline on April 17th. The race operates on a rain or shine basis.

Participants can choose from the following distance:

  • 5 km

The course is a multi-surface route consisting of paved roads, gravel, and grass. The terrain includes rolling hills and steep inclines throughout the vineyard grounds.

Registered participants receive a gift bag with items from sponsors, a race logo finisher glass, and a personalized bib with a tracking chip for those who register by the mid-March deadline. Following the race, an after-party is held at the finish line featuring music and refreshments. Participants aged 21 and over receive a glass of wine or cider after completing the course. On-course and post-race refreshments are also provided to all runners. Packet pick-up is available locally a few days before the event or on the morning of the race.
