Bear Lake Tavern 5K Run/Walk for Brain Aneurysm Awareness
Bear Lake Tavern hosts a community 5K run and walk in Muskegon, Michigan, to raise awareness and funds for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. The course is a mostly flat, scenic out-and-back route along Muskegon Lake and is open to both runners and walkers.
Registration opens on March 1, 2026 and closes on the day of the event, with a registration fee of $40. Packet pick up and on-site registration begin at 10:00 on race day. An aid station is located at the halfway point of the course.
All participants receive a commemorative race t-shirt, a finisher's medal and a swag bag. Bear Lake Tavern will open early on the day of the event so participants can present their bib to receive 10% off their bill. Five percent of that day's total sales will be donated to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation to support education, research and support services for people impacted by brain aneurysms.
The event combines a lakeside route with support resources and a fundraising component directed to a named nonprofit organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
