Bear Lake Tavern's 2nd Annual 5K Run/Walk for Brain Aneurysm Awareness
Bear Lake Tavern presents a community 5K run and walk on September 26, 2026, at Bear Lake Tavern, 360 Ruddiman Dr, Muskegon, MI 49445. The course is a mostly flat, scenic out-and-back route along Muskegon Lake and is open to both runners and walkers.
Registration opens March 1, 2026 and closes September 26, 2026. The registration fee is $40.00. Packet pick up and on-site registration are available the day of the event.
All participants receive a commemorative race t-shirt, a finisher's medal and a swag bag. An aid station will be available at the halfway point of the course to provide hydration and fueling.
The event raises awareness and funds for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. The source notes that brain aneurysms affect an estimated 1 in 50 people in the United States and that nearly 30,000 individuals each year suffer a rupture. Bear Lake Tavern will offer a 10% discount to participants who present their bib inside the venue and will donate 5% of the day's total sales to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
