5K Run for Life and 1K Fun Run/Walk : Pine Grove
Thompson Social Services presents the third annual 5K Run for Life and 1K Fun Run/Walk on September 19, 2026, at the Pine Grove Hose, Hook & Ladder, 2 Orchard St., Pine Grove, PA 17963. Proceeds benefit suicide prevention efforts in Schuylkill County.
The event features a measured, mostly flat and fast course on shaded streets and a loop around the lake. Race services include a finish clock, mile splits, instant results, and refreshments. The event proceeds in all weather; there are no refunds or mailed awards.
Awards for the 5K include cash prizes for the overall male and female winners plus age group awards for multiple male and female divisions. A 1 Mile kids race is held for children 12 years old and under, with top three male and female finishers recognized. Children who wish to enter both the 5K and the kids race must register for each race separately.
Entry fees vary by age and registration date: standard 5K or 1K entry fees apply with a reduced early rate that includes a guaranteed t shirt if postmarked by August 31, 2026; later registrations include a shirt while supplies last or a reduced fee when shirts are gone.
