5K for Peace - Forsyth Park, Savannah
The 5K for Peace is a community run and walk scheduled for October 10, 2026, at the Forsyth Park Bandshell in Savannah, Georgia. The event offers a full 5K distance and a one mile family loop, both starting and finishing at the Forsyth Park Bandshell. There will be no road closings or traffic interruptions for the event.
Proceeds benefit Rooted Ummah, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports unhoused neighbors, refugees, immigrants, and displaced communities locally and beyond. Rooted Ummah provides meals, supplies, day center services in Savannah, and resources for families rebuilding their lives after displacement.
Registration for the listed events opens on May 1, 2026 and closes on August 1, 2026. Registration fees are shown for each event in the event details. Registered participants receive an official race bib, a pledge card, a digital finish photo, and entry to the post-event celebration; a participant medal is provided for the first 100 signups and short and long sleeve t-shirts are available for purchase.
A post-event gathering will include music, food, vendors, and community organizations.
