5 Peaks Mount Seymour
This event is part of the BC 5 Peaks Trail Running Series and takes place on the trails of Mt. Seymour Provincial Park. Routes run through dense British Columbia forest and pass around Goldie and Flower lakes. The venue is about 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver.
Available distances cover a range of ages and interests:
- Kid's : 1 km
- Kid's : 3 km
- Sport : 6.5 km
- Enduro : 10 km
- Grit : 14.1 km
A non-competitive hiking division is led by two pace leaders to allow participants to walk the courses without time pressure; hikers do not have a podium but are included in prize draws. For safety and logistical reasons, dogs, headphones, strollers or child carriers, and nordic walking poles are not permitted on the race courses except for use in the hiking division. Washrooms are located in the parking lot and ample parking is indicated. Optional swag and finisher medals can be purchased, and age group and overall awards are presented to the top three finishers in each gender and age category for each timed distance; awards must be collected at the event.
