5 Peaks - Mt. Seymour
The 5 Peaks event at Mt. Seymour takes place on trails within Mount Seymour Provincial Park, located about 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver. The Sport and Enduro courses wind through dense BC forest and pass around Goldie and Flower lakes.
Available distances include:
- 1 km Kid's
- 3 km Kid's
- 6.5 km Sport Run or Hike
- 10 km Enduro Run or Hike
- 14.1 km Grit Run
A non-competitive hiking division is offered with two pace leaders, allowing participants to walk the full course without timing or a podium. Estimated finish times are about 2 hours for the Sport course and 3 hours for the Enduro. Participants in the hiking division must not run during the course.
Safety and logistics notes: dogs, headphones, and strollers are not allowed on the course. Nordic walking poles are permitted only in the non-competitive hiking division. Washroom facilities are located in the parking lot. Spectators are welcome, with best viewing from the start and finish area. Parking is described as plentiful.
Optional swag and finisher medals can be purchased prior to the event or on site while supplies last. Awards are presented to top finishers in each timed category and must be picked up at the event.
