5 Peaks Golden Ears
This event takes place at Golden Ears Provincial Park in British Columbia and is part of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series. The park covers over 555 square kilometres and features an extensive trail system suitable for trail running.
Available distances:
- Kids 1 km
- Kids 3 km
- Sport Run or Hike 7.25 km
- Enduro Run or Hike 12 km
- Grit Run 16 km
Race distances and routes may change based on trail conditions up to race day. Water and electrolyte drinks are available at the start, finish and at one or more aid stations on course. The on course electrolyte beverage is Blonyx Hydra+.
A hiking division is offered for participants who prefer to walk the course without time pressure. Hikers are led by pace leaders, must not run, and have estimated finish times of about 2 hours for the Sport course and 3 hours for the Enduro. Hikers are included in prize draws but do not appear on the competitive podium.
Event rules and facilities noted: no dogs, no headphones, no strollers or child carriers, and no nordic walking poles except in the hiking division. Washrooms are available at the start and finish area. Parking is located at Lot 2, a short walk to check in.
Optional swag and finisher medals can be purchased in advance or on site while supplies last. Awards for timed categories are presented during the morning and must be picked up at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
