Event overview
The Golden Ears 5 Peaks Trail Running event is part of the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series in British Columbia and is scheduled for May 2nd. The venue is Golden Ears Provincial Park, described as one of the largest parks in the province with over 555 km² of parkland and an extensive trail network. Routes and distances are subject to change based on trail conditions up to race day.

- 3 km - Kids
- 7.25 km - Sport Run or Hike
- 12 km - Enduro Run or Hike
- 16 km - Grit Run
The event is cup-free: no cups will be provided at the start, finish, or aid stations. Water and an electrolyte beverage will be available at the start/finish and at one or more aid stations on course. The specified on-course electrolyte beverage is Blonyx Hydra+. Participants expected to be out longer than one hour should carry their own receptacle for fluids and nutrition.
A non-competitive hiking division is offered; it starts earlier, is led by pace leaders, and requires walkers to refrain from running. Estimated finish times for hikers are about 2 hours for the Sport course and 3 hours for the Enduro. Safety rules include no dogs, no headphones, and no strollers or baby carriers on course. Washrooms are available near the start/finish and parking is at Parking Lot 2, a short walk from the check-in area.
Awards and logistics
Optional finisher medals and other swag can be pre-purchased or bought on site while supplies last. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers by gender and age category in each distance, plus the top three overall in each category. All swag and awards must be picked up at the race.
