Race and Information

The Bear Mountain Trail Running Race is hosted by Heads or Trails. It takes place at Bear Mountain Park, located on Dewdney Trunk Road in Mission, British Columbia, Canada.

The race offers three trail distances:

  • 30 km
  • 15 km
  • 8 km

Course Description

The course features tough climbs, fast and flowy downhills, and technical trails. Course route information via Strava is available for the 8 km and 15 km distances.

8 km: The route winds up to the top of Bear Mountain with 330 meters of elevation gain. 15 km: This route goes up and around the backside of Bear Mountain with 741 meters of elevation gain. It includes one aid station. 30 km: This distance consists of two laps of the 15 km course, with approximately 1550 meters of elevation gain. Three aid stations are provided.

A kids' race of approximately 500 meters (an out-and-back from the start line) is also planned. Children under 13 may participate in the 8 km distance under specific conditions, including parental consent and, for those under 8, accompaniment by a parent or guardian.
