Rolley Coaster
The event takes place at Rolley Lake Provincial Park in Mission, British Columbia, and is held on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Stó:lō Coast Salish peoples.
The course is an 8 km loop with 344 meters of ascent and 347 meters of descent. The route includes technical uphill and downhill sections, foot bridges, streams, waterfalls including Rolley Falls, and a mix of wide dirt trails and single track. The course is not suitable for wheels or strollers.
The event runs over an eight hour window; participants may complete one lap or as many laps as they can in that time, walking, hiking, or running. A relay option is available limited to two-person teams. One aid station is located at the start/finish and is stocked with water, snacks, and medical supplies every 8 km. All participants receive a finishers medal, there are draw prizes, and an award for the most laps completed. Five dollars from each registration is designated as a donation to Mission Search and Rescue.
A virtual participation option is offered; virtual registrants receive a mailed event package that includes a bib and finisher gift, and can record and submit their run from any location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
