4th of July 4mi Ruck & Flag Carry - Greenville
The event is a community ruck march in Greenville, Michigan, held around Independence Day and dedicated to K9 Camo Companions. A portion of the event proceeds will support that nonprofit's work matching veterans with companion dogs.
Participants will complete an approximately 4.45 miles ruck course that starts and ends at Family Farm & Home in Greenville. The format includes a flag carry; a 12"x18" American flag will be provided to registered participants at check-in. Leashed dogs are welcome.
All participants are required to check in at the main event table the morning of the event. Day-of registration and check-in are available at the event. The listed registration fee is $20. ALL veterans or active military attend free and do not need to sign up through the listed registration.
Participants are asked to bring a rucksack or backpack. Recommended weights are 20 lb for beginners and 30 lb for experienced participants, though carrying weight is not required to participate. There are no water stations on course, so participants should bring their own hydration and wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes.
