3.5 km Handicap Race at Lake Gillawarna
The Western Districts Joggers and Harriers run a club-organised 3.5 km handicap race at Lake Gillawarna, Georges Hall. The course is certified and competitors start according to their allotted handicap start times. A club clock governs the race start and runners begin relative to that clock.
There is also a concurrent 10 km self-timed social run/walk option. All competitors must wear a timing chip for an official recorded time. Runners are asked to disperse away from the finish area after crossing the timing mats.
New runners and visitors of all ages and abilities are welcome; new participants must register online before the Friday deadline. Registration for this event closes on Fri 13 Nov 2026 at 17:00. Membership is available to join the club’s annual competition.
If it is raining, the event continues and shelter is provided for bag storage. Organisers provide a course map and a replay link for reference.
