20 Along the Forth : 20 mile marathon training run
20 Along the Forth is a 20 mile training event that starts at Cargilfield School in Barnton, Edinburgh. The route passes through Dalmeny Estate, into South Queensferry, crosses the Forth Road Bridge and returns toward Barnton. The course surface is approximately 75% tarmac and 25% runnable estate roads, with about 1,150 ft of total undulation and no large hills. There are no road closures for the route.
The course is fully marked and marshalled. Water stations are provided at miles 5.5 and 14.5. Wave starts are used to group runners by expected finish time.
Entry information includes an entry fee of £26.50, which includes an optional charity donation. The event supports The MS Society Scotland. Age and capacity limits apply: minimum age 17 years and a maximum field size of 800 runners.
