12 Hours of Lawrence Woods
This event is a 12-hour timed trail race held in Lawrence Woods within the Middlesex Fells Reservation in Medford, MA. The course is a roughly 4-mile loop around Lawrence Woods that does not use overlapping laps; it shares an intersection where runners turn in opposite directions. The start, finish, and aid station are located in the woods, about a quarter mile from the nearby high school parking lot.
Parking is available in the high school lot and signage and a course map will direct participants from there to the start area. Aid on course is intentionally minimal and will include water, some candy, and a sugary drink. Participants are invited to bring a bag and a chair and may set up a personal spot near the aid area.
The event schedule includes on-site registration and bib pickup, a pre-race briefing, open laps during the 12-hour window, and a final lap cutoff before the event ends. Volunteers are part of the event setup and may be present to help. A route for the course is available on Strava. Registration closes on the day before the event.
