The US Road Running - Midlothian event takes place at Midlothian Mines Park. The meeting location is specifically at the Headstock adjacent to Loch Lothian. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series, allowing participants to earn points toward the season standings. Registration is required in advance via RunSignup, as there is no option for on-site registration.
The race utilizes an out and back course layout. Participants should be aware of a strictly enforced course time limit of two hours for all distances. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the event, concluding shortly before the start.
Available distances include:
- 5K: Two laps of the out and back course.

Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, although it is not mandatory. A group photo is taken before the race starts, and an award is presented for the best costume at that time. All runners who complete their distance receive a themed finisher medal. Results and additional awards are handled according to the standard series guidelines.
