US Road Running - Akron
The US Road Running event in Akron, Pennsylvania, takes place at Loyd H Roland Memorial Park. This athletic gathering features two distinct race categories on a fully paved surface. The competition is held on an out-and-back course that participants navigate multiple times depending on their chosen distance.
Available race distances include:
- 5K (traverses the course twice)
- 10K (traverses the course four times)
Both the 5K and 10K events have a strict two-hour time limit. Participants must register in advance through the online platform, as no on-site registration is provided on the day of the event. Packet pickup is conducted shortly before the start. Facilities such as bathrooms are available at the park pavilion located near the starting line.
All participants who complete their race receive a themed finisher medal. Although not a requirement, the event encourages runners to wear costumes, and an award for the best costume is presented following a group photo at the beginning of the activities. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series, allowing participants to earn points toward series rankings. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
