Event

The 16th Annual 10 Mile Brewery Run in Memory of Ric DiVeglio takes place on January 17, 2026 in Patchogue, New York. The event starts and finishes at The Sandbar / Baja Boathouse, 31 Baker Pl., Patchogue, NY 11772. The event is restricted to participants aged 21 and over. The race distance is 10 miles.

Course and participation

The course is USATF certified and described as flat. There is a 2 hour 15 minute cutoff for completing the course; participants who do not finish within that time will not receive a finish time. Pacers are provided this year to assist runners aiming to complete the 10 mile distance. Water stops and portable toilets are located at miles 3, 5 and 7. Public transport to the Patchogue LIRR station is recommended; the station is about a 12-minute walk to the start area. Approved parking locations are listed by the organizer.

Amenities, awards and fundraising

All finishers receive a custom finisher medal and entrants receive a long sleeve tech shirt (shirt availability guaranteed for registrations by January 1 or until sold out). Post-race offerings include food, live music, and complimentary Blue Point beer; non-alcoholic beer is provided by Monatuk Brewery. Awards include top three overall male and female, age-group awards, wheelchair racer awards, masters and senior masters awards, and age-graded prizes. Fundraising is organized through the event: participants who raise $300 receive a refund of their registration fee, with funds split among Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Patchogue Medford Youth & Community Services, and William's Warriors. Discounts are available for GLIRC members, veterans, and seniors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
