Rocky's 5K

Rocky's 5K is a race held on the carriage roads of Rockefeller State Park Preserve in Pleasantville, New York. The course runs through woodlands, pastures and along Swan Lake, and is noted for scenic fall foliage, wide carriage roads and several hilly sections. The start and finish are a short walk from the parking lot at the Preserve main entrance, 125 Phelps Way (Rte. 117), and the event area around Swan Lake hosts refreshments, vendors and awards.

The event offers a standard 5K and a Youth 5K for participants age 12 and under. Awards include overall and age group prizes; team competition is scored by lowest total time with results three deep in four team categories: all male, all female, coed, and coed century (team age total at least 100). T shirts and refreshments are provided.

Logistics note that there is no official bag drop and participants are asked not to leave valuables unattended. Jogging strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course, but spectators are welcome. Early bib pickup is available at Westchester Road Runner, 179 East Post Road, White Plains, NY; the store offers a discount to bib holders.

Registration fees vary by date. The race does not issue refunds; entrants may defer to 2027 or transfer their bib up to one week before the race. All proceeds support carriage road maintenance in the Preserve. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
