Closter's Dom Mircovich Memorial 5K and the Jim O'Halloran Kids Fun Run take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Closter, NJ (Memorial Park, Harrington Ave.). The running program is in its 45th year and includes a 5K run/walk and a children’s Fun Run for ages 12 and under. Registration opens June 29, 2026. Online registration is preferred; there will be limited same-day registration. Registration at Runners' House and on event day is $40.

Course and results
The 5K is a USATF certified course (NJ24017JLW), described as mostly flat and routed around parks, neighborhoods, and the town center. Multiple water stops are provided. Timing and scoring are handled by Best Racing Systems. Awards include top three male and female overall, five-year age-group awards from 10U to 80+, fastest Closter resident male and female, and awards for parent-child teams (online entry only). Runners receive only the highest award for which they are eligible.
Amenities and additional info
The Fun Run provides a T-shirt and Tyvek bib to the first 50 registrants, trophies for the top five girls and top five boys, ribbons for participants, and post-run refreshments. The 5K offers a moisture-wicking T-shirt to the first 225 registrants, B-tag electronic timing, and post-event refreshments. Events run rain or shine unless there is a lightning warning.
