TOUGHMAN Harriman

TOUGHMAN Harriman takes place September 12 and 13, 2026 at Lake Welch Beach in Harriman State Park, Stony Point, New York. The weekend includes multiple race formats: Olympic and long course triathlons, duathlons, aquabike events, collegiate divisions, and a youth TOUGHKids program.

Race distances include:

• Olympic Triathlon: Swim 1.5 km, Bike 40 km, Run 10 km
• Olympic Duathlon: Bike 40 km, Run 10 km
• Olympic Aquabike: Swim 1.5 km, Bike 40 km
• Long Course Triathlon: Swim 1.2 mi, Bike 56 mi, Run 13.1 mi
• Long Course Duathlon: Bike 56 mi, Run 13.1 mi
• Long Course Aquabike: Swim 1.2 mi, Bike 56 mi
• TOUGHKids Ages 4–6: Swim 20 yd, Bike 1 mi, Run 100 yd (one helper allowed)
• TOUGHKids Ages 7–10: Swim 100 yd, Bike 2 mi, Run 0.5 mi
• TOUGHKids Ages 11–14: Swim 200 yd, Bike 4 mi, Run 1 mi

An athlete guide provides the race day information and serves as the pre-race briefing; there are no separate pre-race briefings. Packet pickup is scheduled across the race weekend with dedicated TOUGHKids pickup options. The event is held rain or shine and is sanctioned by USA Triathlon with certified courses, official timing, and race safety measures. The swim takes place at Lake Welch and transition areas are on the beach and nearby park roads; a vendor expo and post-race food and awards are part of the weekend schedule.
