Summer Session 10k & 5k
The Summer Session 10k & 5k takes place on June 26, 2027 at Trailside Brewing in Hendersonville. Both the 10k and 5k courses are out-and-back routes that run entirely on the Ecusta Trail greenway, a newly transformed rail line. All race starts are at Trailside Brewing.

- Sunshine Sprint, 0.25 mile untimed kids event
Registration includes a finisher medal, one beer from Trailside or a nonalcoholic beverage, a race shirt, and chip timing. The Sunshine Sprint costs $10 and includes a finisher medal and bib; runners may add a youth race shirt for an additional fee. There are no awards for the Sunshine Sprint.
A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Mills River Partnership. Awards for the 5k and 10k include Fleet Feet Asheville gift certificates for top overall and masters placements, and Trailside Brewing pint glasses for top three finishers in male, female, and nonbinary age groups. Age brackets run from 0-14 up to 80 and up.
Early packet pick up is scheduled for June 25, 4-6PM at Trailside Brewing; race day packet pick up is available the morning of the event. Dogs and other animals are not allowed on course; approved service animals require prior documentation. Strollers are welcome and should start at the back of the field. Parking at Trailside Brewing fills early; additional street parking is available on West Allen, Washington Street, 5th Avenue, and downtown Hendersonville.
