Event Overview
The Monster Mash Bash - Run for a Cure is a 30-hour endurance event held in Burnet, Texas. The challenge follows a specific format: participants must complete 1 mile every hour for up to 30 hours. The course is a closed, one-mile out-and-back route consisting of approximately 0.5 miles out and 0.5 miles back, utilizing a mix of trail and road surfaces.
Participation Rules
The event begins at 7:00 AM, but runners may choose to enter at any scheduled hourly start. If a participant misses an official start time or fails to complete the mile within the hour, they are eliminated from the competition. There are no make-up miles or re-entries allowed after elimination.
Distances and Awards
The event features a single recurring distance:
- 1 mile every hour for 30 hours (30 miles total)
All registered participants receive a patch, a tumbler, and stickers. Runners also earn reflective distance plates based on the highest milestone successfully reached, such as 5 miles, 10 miles, or the full 30 miles.
