11th Annual Dashing through the Square 5K Run/Walk
The event is the 11th annual 5K run and walk held on December 19, 2026, in Marietta Square, Marietta, Georgia. The route passes historic homes and the shops that line the square. The PEARL Foundation, Inc. is the race sponsor.
Timed entries use electronic chip timing and the event is a Northside Hospital Peachtree Qualifying Race. A virtual 5K option allows participants to complete the distance from any location; virtual registration includes shipping and handling for mailed items. All in-person and virtual finishers receive a commemorative medal, and all 5K participants receive a runner's t-shirt. Organizers note t-shirt quantities and sizes may be limited for registrations after December 1, 2026.
Award medals are presented to first and second place male and female finishers in these age groups: 17 and under, 18 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. Proceeds support youth enrichment programs and other community initiatives benefiting Cobb County.
