About the race
Ona Mission Multisport Adventure is a multisport race on Djiru Country around Mission Beach and Dunk Island in Queensland. The event features paddling, trail running on island rainforest, beach running, and a mountain bike loop that in 2026 is routed on the beach and National Park tracks. Both individual and team entries are offered, with separate short and long courses. Participants must be self-sufficient for water and nutrition on all stages and must wear their race bib.
Mandatory equipment includes a suitable watercraft and Australian Standard Level 50 PFD or higher for paddling stages, a dry bag for shoes, running shoes for island and beach runs, and a mountain bike with an Australian standards cycling helmet. E-bikes may enter but are not eligible for competitive placings. The event layout includes transfers to Dunk Island, island trail running on Dunk Island National Park, paddles between South Mission Beach and Dunk Island, a beach and rainforest bike loop using the Musgravea Track, and final beach run to the finish. Age categories and entry options include individuals, teams, and junior categories with minimum ages and course restrictions specified.
Registrations include entry into a prize draw awarded by sponsors. Organisers may modify the course ahead of race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
