About the race
The Mother's Day Classic in Devonport is a community run and walk along Bluff Beach and the Mersey River pathway. The course is flat and follows a 2.5 km out-and-back route along the shoreline, starting from the public access path near the playground and returning past the Harbour Master Cafe to the finish. Event village and registration are located on the grassy area next to the start/finish line. The event offers a family-friendly setting with kids face painting and a public playground nearby.
Facilities include public toilets at the village and along the course, accessible parking and bathrooms, and a pram- and wheelchair-friendly route. Water fountains are available in the village and participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. First aid is on site. Practical details note limited parking at Bluff Beach and surrounding streets, and that attendees may arrive by bike, carpool, drive, or on foot.
