The Coastal Pathway project began in 2009 and later received funding that supported construction of several sections starting in 2019. Major sections from Sulphur Creek to Penguin, West Ulverstone, Leith to Don, and Ambleside to Latrobe were completed in 2022. An infill link between Turners Beach and Leith was completed in 2023. The pathway is described as supporting health and wellbeing, providing alternatives for cycling and walking for commuting, and contributing to local visitor economy growth.
Event information references local organisers and event partners and lists results, timetable, bib collection details, and transport guidance to Latrobe. The event includes a 64 km teams relay option and a solo 100 km option among other standard race distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
