About the race
SMC Road Race Series 26/27 is a volunteer-run, non-profit club series held at Long St Park opposite 61 Long St in Smithfield, NSW. Events run between September 27, 2026 and May 23, 2027 and are organised as a sequence of races across that period.
All participants receive timing chips and bibs and finishers are given an official time from an electronic timing system. Each event includes on-course or post-race provisions such as water, soft drinks, electrolytes and snacks, and organisers hold lucky-door raffle prizes for runners.
The series stages the following race distances at each event, with additional long runs on selected race days:
- 21 km
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km kids dash
- 30 km (offered in Race 6 and Race 7)
Entry categories and multi-race packages are available for different age groups and numbers of races, including multiple-race options for half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and 2 km events. The series is run by volunteers and is open to runners regardless of prior experience, speed or ability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
