Event overview
The Garigal Trail Event is scheduled for September 6, 2026, at Acron Oval in St Ives, NSW, within Garigal National Park. The main format is a 5 km loop run as laps. The event features a lap cut-off of 45 minutes; participants who miss a lap may rest and rejoin on a later lap. The event is fully timed with live tracking and instant results after crossing the finish line.

- The Trail Taster: 20 km (4 laps)
- The Trail Trekker: 40 km (8 laps)
- The Trail Blazer: 50 km (10 laps)
The 5 km loop will be clearly marked and aid stations will be provided. First aid is supplied by St John’s Ambulance. Catering and food are available for purchase, and there will be merchandise and awards from sponsors. A post-run yoga session is listed.
The event operates a no-plastic policy; participants should bring refillable water bottles. Bubblers at Acron Oval and water drums will be available for refilling. Toilets are located within 20 metres. Parking is available on surrounding residential streets and some buses stop near the oval. Tickets can be transferred for a $20 administration fee. Refunds are generally not given for change of mind; cancellation requests are handled directly by the organiser.
