DanceBlue 5K 2026
DanceBlue 5K 2026 is a campus walk/run held at the University of Kentucky in Lexington on October 18, 2026. The event supports the DanceBlue Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Kentucky Children’s Hospital and directs funds to clinic improvements, research, and patient support at Golisano’s Children’s at the University of Kentucky.
The event is part of DanceBlue, a student-run philanthropy that culminates each year in a 24-hour dance marathon. Fundraising for the marathon includes activities such as mini marathons, a silent auction, and the annual 5K run/walk. Students who participate in the marathon receive 20 spirit points for 5K registration. T-shirt sizes are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration is offered in distinct categories and price tiers: UK students, community and UK staff or faculty, and a virtual option. The virtual entry includes race shirt shipping. Registration prices increase in the week before registration closes on October 11, 2026. No refunds are available.
Packet pick-up is required before race day. Student packets are available at the DanceBlue Office in the Gatton Student Center, Room 262A, on weekdays October 13 to October 16 with specified pick-up windows. Community packets are available at John’s Run/Walk Shop, 317 S Ashland Ave, on October 17 during listed hours. Alternate pick-up arrangements may be made with the event organizers.
