Lexington Equine Medical Hunter Pace & 5K At the Park
This event is a chip timed 5K (3.1 miles) run and walk on the Hunter Pace turf and cross country course at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The event benefits the Kentucky Horse Council and takes place on September 5, 2026.
Participants receive a commemorative horse show type ribbon and a unisex race shirt while supplies last. Awards are presented to the top male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Additional awards include Best Tailgate and Best Costume.
The event offers free race photos and a finish line photo contest, race morning packet pickup, and on-site food, music, and fellowship. The course follows the same turf and cross country paths used for hunter pace riding. The organizer specifies that dogs and strollers are not permitted.
