Cowboy 100
Cowboy 100 is a point-to-point 100 miles held on April 17, 2027, organized by Ultraverse Supplements. The course runs from Valentine to Atkinson on the Cowboy Trail, a crushed limestone rail-trail that is off-limits to automobiles. The trail is described as non-technical, 100 percent runnable, and largely flat.
The race uses the second half of the Cowboy 200 course in reverse. Because of the course change, previous course records for the original Cowboy 100 will not transfer. The event will introduce new finisher buckles for the 100-mile distance in 2027. The field is capped at 150 runners.
Planned full aid is located at Arabia, Wood Lake, Johnstown, Ainsworth, Long Pine, Bassett, and Stuart, which reduces the average distance between aid stations to about 14 miles. The event offers a generous 34 hour cutoff and live GPS tracking by Legends Tracking USA. The race is a non-repetitive, point-to-point format. A shuttle will be available for uncrewed runners and additional runner manual and aid station information will be provided closer to the event.
Entry terms state no refunds and no bib transfers. Entries may be deferred for race credit if done within set timeframes: 100 percent credit at least three months prior, 75 percent at least two months prior, and 50 percent at least one month prior. No deferrals are allowed after March 17. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
