Patrol the Pavement 5K
Patrol the Pavement is the second annual community running event held in Portage, Indiana, that supports the Portage FOP. The event includes a main 5K road race and a separate 1K run for children aged 12 and under.

The venue is 2500 SPC Roy Buckley Way, Portage, IN 46368. Registration opens on July 1, 2026 for the 5K and on July 30, 2026 for the 1K; both registration periods close on September 5, 2026. The posted registration fees are $35.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the 1K.
On-site amenities listed by the organizer include vendors such as Travelin Tom's Coffee and J.J's pizza. Limited edition challenge coins and T-shirts will be available for purchase before and after the event. A Portage Police Department K9 officer will be present and will provide demonstrations for participants and spectators.
