Zoom Through the Zoo
Zoom Through the Zoo is a fundraising running event presented by the Greenville Zoo Foundation that includes a 5K and a kids fun run. The event takes place in Cleveland Park in Greenville and incorporates a loop inside the Greenville Zoo.
The 5K covers approximately 3.1 miles on a hilly course that guides runners through Cleveland Park and finishes with a loop in the zoo. The kids fun run takes place through the zoo and is described as about 0.8 mile. Strollers and walkers are permitted in the event; pets are not allowed. Parents may run with children in the kids fun run.
Participants in the 5K receive a unisex or youth t shirt. Kids can purchase a t shirt for an additional fee. All participants receive one complimentary guest pass to the Greenville Zoo. After the races there are music, snacks, and an awards presentation in Cleveland Park; awards include yearly memberships to the Greenville Zoo.
Packet pickup is offered on the days immediately before the event at Fleet Feet Sports in Greenville and on race day at Cleveland Park. The event lists support from the Greenville Track Club and local sponsors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
