Zoo Atlanta Run Like Wild 5K
The Zoo Atlanta Run Like Wild 5K is a fundraising event held in Atlanta, Georgia. The course leads participants through historic Grant Park and inside Zoo Atlanta. This race serves as a Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race qualifier and utilizes professional chip timing.
The route begins outside the Zoo Atlanta front gates. Runners complete two loops within Grant Park before entering the zoo grounds to view wildlife habitats. The course finishes inside the zoo and is followed by an After Party on the Grand Patio. Some pathways inside the zoo are narrow, and participants are encouraged to exercise caution.
Available participation options include:
- In-Person 5K: A timed race for participants ages 3 and older.
- Virtual 5K: An open-age option that can be completed from any location until May 11.
In-person registration includes a unisex race T-shirt, a finisher's medal, post-race refreshments, and digital race photos. Participants also receive same-day general admission to Zoo Atlanta after 9:30 a.m. Virtual registration includes a T-shirt and medal with domestic shipping included.
Due to the nature of the course, strollers, baby joggers, and pets are not permitted for runners. Spectators can watch for free at the start line or in Grant Park, but a paid spectator ticket or zoo membership reservation is required to access the finish line and After Party. Proceeds from the event support zoo operations, including animal care, education, and global conservation efforts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
