Haughley Festival of Running
The Haughley Festival of Running returns for its fourth year at an exclusive venue in Suffolk. The event takes place within the grounds of Haughley Park, offering a self-contained and intimate setting. The terrain consists primarily of pathways with additional sections through woodland and trails. While road shoes are generally appropriate, trail shoes may be used depending on weather conditions.
Participants can choose from a wide range of distances, including:
- 5k
- 10k
- 15k
- Half Marathon
- Heavy Half Marathon (typically 5 laps, with options for 6 or 7)
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon (typically 9 laps, with options up to 12)
The event operates with a six-hour time limit for those starting in the first wave and a four-hour limit for the second wave. The course is designed around 5 km loops, and a dedicated water and aid station is positioned at the lap point. This station provides refreshments, meaning runners do not need to carry their own food or equipment. This is a cupless event, so participants are required to bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.
Secure on-site parking is provided at Haughley Park. All finishers receive a medal, with options for either a bespoke event medal or a "lucky dip" selection from previous events. Registration for all distances closes 48 hours before the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
