Event Overview
The Haughley Festival of Running is a multi-distance running event held at Haughley Park in Suffolk. This will be its fourth edition. The event uses an exclusive area of the park grounds.
Distances and Course
The event offers several race distances, run on a laps system.
- 5k
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon
A "Heavy Half Marathon" distance is also available. The standard distances involve completing laps: the half marathon is 5 laps, while the ultra marathon is 9 laps. Runners have the option to adjust the number of laps for these distances on the day. The course is mainly on pathways with small sections of trails and woodland.
Event Details
There is a six-hour event cutoff for runners starting at 9:00 and a four-hour cutoff for those starting at 11:00. Parking is included and on-site at the designated postcode. A water and aid station is located at the lap point. The event is cupless, so participants must bring their own cup or bottle for refreshments.
All finishers receive a bespoke event medal. Alternatively, for some distances, runners can choose a "lucky dip" option to select a medal from previous events.
Venue and Logistics
The event takes place at Haughley Park. Parking is at a separate postcode from the wedding venue. A parking attendant will direct participants to a space and then to the start area for number collection. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
