Haughley Festival of Running

The Haughley Festival of Running takes place at Haughley Park, Suffolk, using an exclusive area of the estate with plenty of open space. The event uses a lap format on an off-road parkland and woodland loop that stacks for longer distances.

Distances offered:

• 5k
• 10k
• Half Marathon (heavy half standard 5 laps; option to run 6 or 7)
• Full Marathon
• Ultra Marathon (standard 9 laps; may be increased up to 12)

The course is a 5.3 km loop, entirely off-road on parkland and woodland paths, with gently rolling undulation of about 29 m per lap and elevation from 69 m to 83 m. One lap equals the 5k distance and the route stacks cleanly for 10k, half and beyond. A GPX file is available from the course tab.

Facilities and event notes: there is a water and aid station at the lap point; parking is included and secure on site with a parking attendant who will direct vehicles and the route to race number collection. A bespoke finisher medal is supplied, with a lucky dip medal option where offered. The event is cupless, so participants are expected to provide their own cup or bottle for refreshment refilling. Road trainers are suggested, but trail trainers may be useful depending on prior weather.
