The Third Annual Zeta Rho Lambda Juneteenth 5K Run/Walk
The Zeta Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. presents a community 5K run and walk in Dover, Delaware, on June 20, 2026. The event is intended to promote health and wellness while raising funds for fraternity national programs and local partnerships. The chapter holds 501(c)(3) tax exempt status and has set a chapter fundraising goal of $5,000. The event is held rain or shine.
Proceeds will benefit the following programs: Go-to-High-School, Go-to-College; Big Brothers Big Sisters partnership; Project Alpha for young men ages 12 to 18; and support for Boy Scouts of America activities. Race amenities include event T-shirts for early registrants, participation medals, and complimentary hotdogs and hamburgers after the event for registered participants. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by May 30, 2026, with additional shirts available while supplies last.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in the listed age groups: 13 & Under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. New recognitions include awards to the first "Hero" in Police, Firefighter, Educator, Military, and Medical or Mental Health Worker divisions. The event also features a Divine 9 Challenge where local fraternities and sororities compete as five person teams by lowest combined time.
