Zelda 4 Hour - Midland, North Carolina

The Zelda 4 Hour is the sixth annual four hour timed trail race held at Rob Wallace Park in Midland, NC. The event challenges participants to complete as many 2-mile laps of the park main trail system as they can; completing one lap qualifies as a finisher. All registered runners receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal presented as a collar and dog tag.

The course is described as fast and non-technical and circles the park and the quarry lake. One aid station located at the start and finish area is available each time a runner completes a lap. The aid station will offer basic snacks, hydration, and some hot food items. Organizers will also serve hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch for runners.

The event supports the Greater Charlotte SPCA. The SPCA will hold an adoption event at the start and finish area; dogs may be taken for a lap and previous editions of the event have resulted in adoptions.

Logistics include packet pickup the day before at Pour 64, with additional packet pickup on race day at the park. Parking is organized on site with signs directing vehicles to the parking lot. Plumbed restrooms are available at the pavilion and on the pavilion backside. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
