THE ZACHING RUNNING FESTIVAL
The Zaching Running Festival takes place on November 21, 2026 at Turf Valley Towne Square / Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, Maryland. The event benefits the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation and raises funds for the Little Things for Cancer Program, transportation to treatment, groceries, utility assistance, prescription co-pays, and other services for families in Maryland.
Race options include:
- 10K: professionally timed, race premium included
- 5K: professionally timed, race premium included
- 1 Mile Walk
Registration opens July 15, 2026. Registration for the 5K and 10K closes September 1, 2026; registration for the 1 Mile Walk closes November 18, 2026. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $75 for the 10K, $65 for the 5K, and $32 for the 1 Mile Walk.
The course is described as a scenic Turf Valley route and concludes with a finish line celebration and post-race gathering. Post-race features noted by the organizer include live music, food selections such as oysters, pizza, and tacos, a beer garden, and Bloody Marys.
