The Zachary Charity League Chasing Santa 5K takes place on December 13, 2025 in Zachary, LA. Events include:

The 5K is chip timed and finishers receive a Christmas ornament medal. Kids who finish the 1/2 mile receive a toy from Santa’s bag. The race starts and ends at Zachary High School, in front of the main building. Strollers are allowed. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served after the event.
Purpose and course
Proceeds support the Zachary Charity League and go toward scholarships, teacher grants, and Snack Packs for Kids, which provides weekend snacks for children from food insecure homes. The race route passes by five of the league’s seven schools.
Registration and logistics
Pricing tiers are published for early registration, a regular registration period, and race day pricing for both the 5K and the kids run. There is a group discount for five or more registrations. Participants who register by December 1 receive a t-shirt. Packet pickup is scheduled on December 11 and December 12 at 4422 Main Street, Zachary, LA.
