The Zachary Charity League Chasing Santa 5K takes place on December 13, 2025 in Zachary, LA. The race starts and ends in front of the main building at Zachary High School. Events include:

- 1/2 Mile Kids Run
- T-Shirt Only
The 5K is chip timed. Finishers in the 5K receive a Christmas ornament medal. Kids who finish the 1/2 mile receive a toy from Santa’s bag. Runners who register by December 1 will receive a t-shirt. Strollers are welcome. There is a warm-up and the National Anthem before the race. The race route passes by five of the town’s seven schools.
Logistics and registration
The event raises funds for the Zachary Charity League. Proceeds support scholarships, teacher grants and Snack Packs for Kids, which provide weekend snacks for children from food insecure homes. 5K participants may also run the 1/2 Mile Kids Run at no extra fee. 5K entrants are given one hour to complete the course. Packet pickup is scheduled on two days before the race at 4422 Main Street, Zachary, LA. The T-Shirt Only option has a registration cutoff of December 1, 2025.
