5K Your Ways (Robinson, IL)
5K Your Ways is a 3.1 mile event held at Crawford County Forest Preserve, 5886 E. 1050th Ave., Robinson, IL 62454. Participants choose either the asphalt trail system or the dirt trail system; all runners start together, split to follow their chosen course, and merge again at the finish. The asphalt route includes about 200 yards of gravel, part of it uphill, which could be difficult with strollers. The dirt trail conditions depend on weather. If the dirt trails cannot be used, all participants will use the asphalt trails.

The event directs all proceeds to the NOW Nutrition on Weekends program, which provides meals to at-risk children when school is not in session, including weekends and summer. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers on both the dirt and asphalt courses. Medals are given for first place in each age group and children in the kids fun run receive finisher medals and T shirts. Age groups for medals include 17 and under, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 and over.
Early packet pickup and race day packet pickup are available. Late registration carries a $30 cash or check only fee. The cutoff date for a guaranteed T shirt is September 14 and online registration ends September 27. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
