Event Overview
The Trail Trot Cross Country 5K and Kid's Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026. It is organized by the Crawford County Recreation Center. The event takes place at the Crawford County Recreation Center, located at 11220 State Highway 1 in Robinson, Illinois. There is also an online race website for additional information.
Distances
The event consists of two separate races:
- Trail Trot 5K Cross Country Run: A 3.1-mile cross-country style course.
- Kid's Fun Run: A shorter run for children.
Course Details
The 5K course winds through the campus of Lincoln Trail College. The terrain is mixed, with most of the path on grass and a dedicated section on paved pathways. The paved sections go around a pond and through wooded areas.
The Kid's Fun Run is a single-lap dash that takes place on the paved pathways around the pond.
Registration & Fees
Registration for the 5K costs $35, while the Kid's Fun Run costs $15. Registration ends on May 29, 2026. There is also a late registration option on race day for $45, which is only accepted as cash or check. To guarantee a race t-shirt, registration must be completed by May 10, 2026.
Awards
For the 5K, prizes are awarded to the top male and female overall winners. First-place age group medals are also awarded for multiple categories. All participants in the Kid's Fun Run receive a finisher medal. An awards ceremony and prize drawings are held after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
