Your First Mud Run : Ave Maria
Your First Mud Run : Ave Maria is a family obstacle-course event scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026 at North Park, 4010 Anthem Pkwy, Ave Maria, FL 34142. The event uses one shared course and one muddy lap so parents, children, and other family members go through the same obstacles together rather than in separate lanes.
The course length is about 1.5-2 miles and includes thirteen or more obstacles designed to be completed by an adult and a child side by side. The event is open to ages five and up. There is no clock, no qualifying time, and walking the entire course is an accepted way to take part. Families finish together and receive a finisher’s medal.
Race-day logistics follow a simple sequence: arrival and check-in, a group start for each wave, on-course climbing and crawling with mutual assistance, a shared finish, and rinse or cleanup facilities that vary by venue. Typical included items are event photographs and video, free parking, and free bag check; spectators are admitted without a fee. An optional Family Film Challenge invites participants to record five short moments from home to the finish for a small reward.
This Ave Maria event is part of a series of family mud runs produced since 2011. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
